Stadium Grandfields in Downtown Tacoma WA was our 1st store. Due to some pretty stringent financial constraints it was a total “do it yoursef” project from start to finish. We were one of the 1st full blown stand alone stores in the area with a price tag of around $180,000 which was financed with the owner’s credit cards. (over 50 lines of credit!) It turned out that building & financing were the easy parts. The coming years were full of lots of hands on work. However, it’s now the busiest single drive thru in the area with thousands and thousands of loyal customers! Hard work pays off if you do things right!

4 years later, our second store was a little easier in all respects since we really knew what we were doing and the banks believed in us. Once again however, all the work was done by the owners with many a late night building partitions, laying tile, hanging drywall, overlaying the roof, building cabinets, signs and etc. Now our U.P. (University Place) store is up and running like a champ. Roasting has really benefitted the operation in every respect. The savings from roasting and the added profits from selling our whole bean coffee have made a huge difference in every respect.
